End Of Earth Records is proud to release this eccentric album. Mellow Drum Addict & Shortop have definitely created a masterpiece. There are so many facets to this project that have been executed with excellence. The selection of producers is top-notch, the rhyming and guest spots are more than solid, Shortop seriously brings it with the turntablism, and MDA laces most tracks with a unique, psychedelic-type singing style. You will not be able to stop singing these songs long after you turn the cd off. Don’t get it twisted though, you won’t find some bubble-gum pop hooks on this cd. It is the epitome of artistic expression transmitted through several hip-hop elements (including beat boxing, rapping, turntablism to name a few.) While this cd is hip-hop through and through, it is also much more than that. It’s rare that you will find a paradoxically groundbreaking, cutting edge project that is also a throwback to the golden era of hip-hop. MDA & Shortop have successfully accomplished this feat.
