Update: Braille IV 12" and Shades of Grey CD

The IV Edition 12 vinyl is not scheduled to be available until late May at the earliest. Once a firm date is given to us by the artist, we will certainly update you as well.

The Shades of Grey CD will be a few more weeks as well. We expect product to arrive around May 13th to May 20th given the information provided to us by the label. Once we have a firm date on this one as well, we will post an update here also.

Blizzard for shizzard!

We are having the absolute craziest winter weather I have ever seen right now. It is -8 right now with snow and sustained 35-40mph winds. Wind chills are in the -40 to -50 range. Insane! The bad news is that it’s going to get even colder tonight with real temps being -15 to -20! WOW!

Our driveway is one huge snow drift. Unfortunately that means no mail went out today. This includes any orders placed yesterday. I am filling todays orders right now. Those will ship tomorrow.

Back from the Holidays!

We’re back in the office now after a refreshing 4 day vacation. My wife and I visited 3 states to hit all of the family gatherings on both sides of the family. Much food was consumed and lots of snow shoveling happened as well. Saturday saw enough snow (and wind) to create a 3+ foot snow drift at the end of my Dad’s driveway. It was a pretty crazy snow storm and worthy of the blizzard title!

Suggested Mail Dates to arrive by Christmas

The USPS publishes their Suggested Mail Dates each year to assist people in knowing when to mail items so that they arrive in time for the holidays. In order for a domestic package to arrive by Tuesday December 25th, you should have your order placed before 3:00pm Central on Thursday December 20th and select a Priority Mail service for your shipping choice.

As always, ordering earlier is always better and further ensures that your goodies will arrive in time! Please note that delivery times slow around the holidays due to abnormally large mail volumes being processed. Allow a few extra days on top of our normal shipping times for your order to arrive.

We’re working hard to spiffy up the digital music downloads portion of the store! It will have a similar look to what you see now and be very easy to use. You will still need to purchase your music downloads separately from your CDs, Vinyl, Posters, Clothing etc as the two sections use different shopping carts.

Due to the Columbus Day holiday yesterday, we were unable to ship any orders. I was also out of town on Sunday and Monday for the funeral of my wife’s grandmother.

Labor Day holiday weekend

Closeout and Bargains update

We have some new items posted in the Closeout and Bargains section including some CDs and even the last remaining copies of several cassette tapes. Tapes? What are those We have just a handful left for those who are resisting technology or just like the feel of a dope record in their tape deck.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to go through our stockpile of music to offer up some good deals on whatever we can find. After some searching this last weekend, I found some goodies that I was not sure we even had any of. Those surprises are coming soon.

Lastly, we added the crowd favorite CD Grab Bag back into the store. Only $49.98 for at least 10 and sometimes as many as 20 CDs. I’ll let you in on a small secret… the most recent ones I made up all have 15 or more in them.

Digital Music section: How it now works

The Digital Music section of the store is now a separate section. We’re researching our options for the new setup right now. For the time being, it will remain on the older Sphere Store design. The next step will be to update the look and layout of that area to look similar to the current look of this store.

Please note – You may no longer combine purchases of Digital Music with your physical products. The two areas run on different shopping platforms. The function and order processing/deliver for the Digital Music section remains the same as it has been.

We are very excited for you to share this new chapter in the life of Sphere of Hip-Hop with us. Please report any problems or trouble you experience to us via email to the email address listed on our Contact page. We welcome suggestions and improvement ideas you may have as well.

The cosmetic side of the site is still under construction so expect some changes and improvements in the near future.

Lastly, we have decided to split off the digital download portion of the site. This work will take a bit longer to complete as we’re still considering several different solutions for those products.
